Users
The Users section in CrewCost is where you manage the accounts of people who have access to the platform. It allows you to add users, assign roles, and configure personal, employment, wage, and overtime information. This guide walks you through adding a new user and completing their profile.
Add a New User
Navigate to the Users section and follow the steps below to create a new user account.
Select the Settings dropdown button in the left navigation menu.
Click Users.
Click + New User in the top right corner of the directory.
Enter the user's First Name, M.I. (middle initial), and Last Name.
Enter the user's Email address.
Set the Hire date if applicable.
Select a Role from the dropdown, such as Owner, Accountant, and Project Manager.
Click Save.

After saving, CrewCost opens the user's profile page, where you can complete additional sections.
Complete Personal Info
The Personal Info section displays the user's name, email, and phone number. Follow the steps below to edit this information after the user has been created.
On the user's profile page, click the edit icon next to Personal Info.
Update the First Name, M.I., and Last Name fields as needed.
Update the Email field as needed.
Enter a Phone number.
Click Save.

Configure Employment Details
The Employment Details section stores the user's status, role, hire date, work location, job title, and employee ID. Follow the steps below to fill in this information.
Click the edit icon next to Employment details.
Confirm or change the Status (default: Active).
Confirm or update the Role.
Confirm or update the Hire date.
Enter a Work Location.
Enter a Job title.
Enter an Employee ID.
Click Save.

Set Wage Information
The Wage section defines how the user is compensated and how labor costs are calculated. Follow the steps below to configure wage settings.
Click the edit icon next to Wage.
Select a Pay Type from the dropdown (default: Hourly).
Enter the Rate / Hour.
Set the Effective Date.
Enter the Labor Burden percentage if applicable.
Select a Default Cost Type from the dropdown (default: Direct Labor Costs).
Click Save.

Configure Overtime Settings
The Overtime section defines which overtime rule applies to the user and when it takes effect. Follow the steps below to configure it.
Click the edit icon next to Overtime.
Select an overtime Rule from the dropdown (default: Company default).
Set the Effective Date.
Click Save.

Once all sections are complete, the user account is active in the directory and ready to access CrewCost according to their assigned role.
